Native tools for stained-glass work

System requirements

  • Glasswright for Mac requires macOS 14 or later.
  • Glasswright for iPhone and iPad requires iOS/iPadOS 17 or later. ARKit-compatible hardware is required only for inventory scanning.
  • Mac, iPhone, and iPad are included with the same App Store purchase.

Files and compatibility

Patterns on all three platforms are saved as portable .glasswrightdocument packages. You choose where they live and can back them up like any other document.

The integrated scanner on supported iPhone and iPad hardware creates .glassscan packages. Share them to your Mac with AirDrop or any destination available in the system share sheet.

Printing at full size

Choose your paper size in Glasswright’s output controls, then print at 100% scale. If your printer introduces scaling, print and measure the calibration sheet before producing a final pattern. Verify one known dimension on the finished output before cutting glass.

Troubleshooting

  • If a pattern will not form pieces, check the canvas for highlighted open seams or leaks.
  • If iPhone measurement is unavailable, allow Camera access and move slowly over a well-lit, flat surface.
  • If a tiled pattern has an unexpected page count, confirm the selected paper size, margins, and calibration.
  • If a document will not reopen, keep the original file and contact support before modifying the package.
